If you are a home owner or renting privately and receive any of the following benefits you should be eligible for a 100% grant for cavity wall & loft insulation.
* Attendance Allowance
* Council Tax Benefit
* Disability Living allowance
* Housing Benefit
* Pension Credit
* Income Support
* Income based Job Seekers Allowance
* Child Tax Credit (if the earned income is less than £15,000 per annum.)
* Working Tax Credit (if the earned income is less than £15,000 per annum.)
* If you are over 70, in some areas of the country

You are eligible for a grant from around 45-55% rising to 70%, dependent on your circumstances.
WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY HERE?
If you occupy a flat, either privately rented or owned do not apply unless the occupiers above and below also wish to insulate their cavity walls and are willing to pay or are on benefits. Those in social housing, i.e. housing association, council housing, please do not apply here, but talk directly to your landlord.
All home owners and those renting from private landlords, whatever their level of income, qualify for a grant towards home insulation.To qualify for FREE insulation you must fulfill at least one of the eligibility criteria as listed to the right.
